“ Had the best meal here with my friends! The jollof rice and plantain was so tasty and all was such good value. Everyone was so friendly and our server explained the menu really well for us as it was our first time here! We even got some plantain chips on the house, will be back soon ”

“ I feel compelled to write this review after what I witnessed yesterday. I am a repeat customer of the restaurant and I would love to commend the owner on the handling of a very difficult situation. He had a patron who was very rude and apparently had been so on a previous occasion and told to leave. The arrogant man then refused to leave for nearly 20-30 minutes. He claimed he had previously found a hair in his food and that no one should eat at the restaurant yet refused to leave and has been a repeat customer since that incident, and wanted more food. I have never experienced such issue at Mama Bobo restaurant nor have any of my family and friends and I’ve been going since they opened. The owner handled the situation amazingly in my opinion, no escalation of violence. The man created such an uncomfortable situation which led to a panic attack from pregnant friend and yet he still refused to leave. I’m assuming the man may be the previous reviewer. The owner is not rude to his mother, if you’re a regular customer you’d know they’re like best friends. My time at mama bobo has always been amazing, when the owner and his mum are there working you’re in for a treat. The food is so delicious clearly why a man who “complains” about the owner won’t stop returning and why I won’t stop returning. The atmosphere is very lovely and homely unless ruined by other guests. ”

The jollof rice was perfectly cooked, and the chicken was juicy and well-seasoned. I also loved the puff-puffs and suya – everything was fresh and full of spice. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. You can tell a lot of love goes into the food and service. If you’re craving real African food that hits the spot, this place is a must-visit! ”
